This boarders on hate speech and is against the TOS of the network. It also has upset more than a few people that live in the Europe and did not take kindly to that characterization. When we see an improvement in both attitude and ability to follow the channel and network rules, we'll revisit your return to Voice status. In the future, I would make sure anyhting that heads to that topic stays in #politics.

I didn't want to bring this into chat. Although I never really had an aim to be Voiced I was grateful when Ashryne gave it to me. My problem lies in the fact that I try not to break the rules (in any forum of any kind) and I don't think I have. You said that what I typed in chat borders on hate speech and is against the ToS. Although I know you know these rules well, I'm just pasting them here so I can go through them.

Disruptive Behavior:

1. Hate speech and personal insults and epithets directed against any race, religion, ethnic origin, gender or sexual preference or otherwise promotes racism, anti-semitism, bigotry, or hatred of any kind is prohibited even if disguised with asterisks or other text and characters;
Being German (and someone who has been personally affected by the Nazi movement), I can tell you with certainty that I said nothing hateful about any denomination at all (in fact my comment specifically condemned a man for being a bigot).

5. You may not promote information that you know is false or misleading or promotes illegal activities or conduct that is defamatory or libelous;
My comments were specifically meant to let Brigitte know what was covered up by the censored tag

As I said, being German I was personally affected by the actions of my former country's insane leader. As you'd see in the log the entire thing was said just to explain to Brigitte was was covered up by the censored tag (in reference to the Hitler dub videos because while Chris was on the phone with AT&T he was imitating the video). I was merely trying to explain "Hitler" without mentioning the word (because they weren't sure if I swore or something). There was nothing hateful in my comments and I even specifically condemned him for being misguided and a bigot.

As I said, I'm not really trying to get my Voiced status back because that's completely up to you all (regardless of my reaction to the -v), but I *do* believe in standing up for myself when someone accuses me of using hatespeech. I am very un-hateful and especially considering my history it would be hypocritical of me to do anything *BUT* condemn hate.

Thanks for your time reading this. All I'd like is for people to understand that there was nothing hateful in my comments and realize that I didn't break the tos (and that I actually was enforcing them, as I always try to).

All of us ops are pretty bright and can figure out what's under the censors without an explanation. The whole topic doesn't have a place in #chris.

As per the note above from Kat, we really expect Voiced users to be a cut above in following the rules and setting the example. Because #chris attracts people from all over the world and every age, it is paramount to show those rules in action. Thus, no caps, no illegal or extra-legal or quasi-legal topics, being polite at all times and so on.

Honestly, if I had seen that at the time, a ban would would have seriously crossed my mind. With school out and all the kids running loose, we need all the help we can get in keeping some semblance of order in the channel. There are plenty of other channels for the discussion politics (and religion) on the network and we encourage people to use those. I know you've seen some of the things that get people g-lined. I don't apply those, that happens with network personnel.

And just about everyone I know has been affected by WWII in some way. My grandmother was born on Oahu and my grandfather was at Pearl Harbor that morning.

Even aside from the -v opinion...when I said affected I didn't mean that some of my family was around when these things happened.

A good number of my family members were killed by Hitler's officers, forced in his army with fear, or put into concentration camps for no reason (my grandmother was in a concentration camp for 10 years before escaping).

I won't try to persuade you any further (I don't see it as an argument I was just curious), but I still don't believe I came even close to breaking any of the rules. I condemned a man for being a bigot (a man that even the history books define as a bigot). The only possible thing I could assume is that the people that were offended by my speech were supporters of Hitler (which shouldn't be of consequence anyway because that entire lifestyle is about hate in the first place).

I'm sorry for offending whoever it was that was offended. I didn't mean it at all - I was only trying to explain myself. Please apologize for me to whoever took offense.
