We've noticed a disturbing trend lately. Several voiced users have taken it upon themselves to decide they are above the rules. They talk down to non-voiced users, they attempt to make up or change rules as they go along. They even attempt to just blatantly disregard the rules, posting any link they feel necessary, using caps, etc.

From today forward, be aware that we are holding those of you with voice to a HIGHER standard than we do regular users. This means no more acting the ways I stated above. If we see it, we will take action, and you will have to earn your voice back.

I'm not trying to come down on everyone. Those of you who are guilty know who you are. I chose to address it this way, rather than single a few people out for now. Just know that you agreed to follow the rules, and you aren't doing so. This will result in loss of your voice for quite awhile if it continues.

I completely agree.. some voiced users take their "advantages" too far, and they think abusing the bots and posting links isnt against the rules in their case.

I have also read and understood this part. And yeah some voiced users act as if they are the channel moderators, that needs to stop.

I completely understand and I agree entirely. Even if I am not active, I still have noticed that smirk . Nicely put and great way to address it.

I agree, I'm not in #chris that often anymore, and don't know what's happening in the channel, but if people are doing this then the rules should be more strictly enforced.
