If I host your bot on WyldRyde, there are a few commands you can use. These are the commands:

Section 1: !divider
"!divider <PREFERRED_DIVIDER>" Replace "<PREFERRED_DIVIDER>" with the divider you want.

Section 2: !status, !status2, !status3, & !static
"!status <STATUS>" Replace "<STATUS>" with the status message you like.
"!static <STATIC>" Replace "<STATIC>" with the static message you like.

Section 3: !remove
Use "!remove X", "!remove XX", or "!remove XXX" To remove the static portion: "!remove staticXX" (Can't remove all of the topic). Replace "X"
"XX", or "XXX" with the combination of the matching size number(s) as the x('s) with "1", "2", "3", "12", "13", "21", "23", "31", "32", "123", "132",
"213", "231", "312", or "321" To remove the provided Segment #'s (Each number combination such as "!remove 312" removes segment 1, 2, & 3).
Use "!remove clear" to set the topic without anything removed.

Section 4: !add
This command adds simple triggers to the bot for your channel. Usage: !add <!COMMAND_NAME> <RESPONSE>

Section 5: !append
This command adds to an existing command. If the command doesn't exist, it will create it. Usage: !append <!COMMAND_NAME> <CONTENT>

Section 6: !del
This command deletes a command in the database. Usage: !del <!COMMAND_NAME>

Section 7: !send4help
This command requests for me to enter your channel when initiated by an operator. Usage: !send4help

You should not host your bot with someone you don't know. You give the person your NickServ password. At least if you are going to do this don't group the bot to your own account. Also, what kind of bot is this? PHP, Eggdrop, TCl, Perl, Python, C?

I don't give them any passwords, I just put my bot in thier channel (if they want it) & tell them they can use these commands.
mIRC

oh.. so you host one bot in all channels.. I thought you offered to host different bots for people..

Also that can't be considered a bot.. what people call a "mIRC bot" isnt really a bot but an IRC Client with some scripts put in.

Why would it not be considered a bot? It's a dedicated computer (not the same as this one) that runs in my shed 24/7, that's named, "TBCH_BOT".

Because it's not a dedicated connection for a bot.. it uses resources to draw a graphical user interface that's usually for a client. which makes the bot too slow for my taste

Personally... I prefer to make a bot in PHP. It's simple to run, and you can throw it on pretty much any Linux shell, VPS, or whatever, and just let it run. smile

Cheers,

Sam.

mIRC isnt even a bot platform, its mainly a auto responder all the time, a bot (like using Perl, PHP, Eggdrop etc) does commands much more complex compared to a IRC client with scripts. so there is no such thing as a mirc bot, as mirc isnt a REAL bot platform
