Well I followed all those things for a year and still no voice! Obviously you need to know the ops personally as well to get voice!

You have only been a registered user for 32 days. I don't count that as anywhere near a year. Furthermore, I HAVE been the Administrator for two years now, and I only remember you coming around the past month or two.
Now, on to your accusation that you have to be friends with the ops in order to get voice: simply untrue.
The way to get voice is to follow the rules, be courteous, DONT go off on tangents all the time, don't sit and bash people (including ops), and etc. Get my drift? When you constantly challenge the rules and throw temper tantrums in the channel and on the forums, it tends to not get you voice.
