Hi. I'm trying to identify on the rooms app for iphone. It won't take /msg nickserv identify password. gives me invalid command. I have also tried #channelname password. What else can I try?

I haven't had a chance to try out Rooms yet however I've been told that it's a very early release and it still doesn't support A LOT of commands. This should change as the app is further developed and updated.

You might want to try /cs or /ns or /chanserv or /nickserv in place of /msg chanserv or /msg nickserv and see of those aliases work however I wouldn't get my hopes up right now.

You might want to contact Room's developer to make sure he's going to include support for interacting with services.

so Far Rooms cant handle any commands, no way to identify. You cant even do actions, kicks, bans. No BS, CS, MS, or HS. It has almost nothing, and a bad interface. It maybe the only IRC client for the iPhone, but for now, its the worst.

It will need to be better if I'm going to use it, Instead I use a beta Colloquy web plugin, which brings all my chat rooms to my iPod Touch through a web page, but there's no way you can use it to perform kicks, bans, etc. So there are really no good ways to put IRC on the iPhone and iPod Touch. Basically you can only talk.

But talking is the main part of IRC, and this is the only app of it's type and has no bar to surpass and no software to look off. I applaud the developers for at least trying and publishing something that can be refined into a much better usable app...

I'd rather use mibbit because of all of the modes it has, and a nice user interface

I probably would to, iPhone. It works just like a regular IRC client and you can do most things in Mibbit that you can do in a regular client.

yep has BS, MS, HS, everything really. And there are no differences between the PC version and the iPhone version, so you can really get a full IRC client. Yes, it may be web-based, but for us iPhone/iPod Touch users, its the best we've got :s

I agree, mibbit is the best IRC client out there for the ipod touch and iPhone. However it's not optimized for them. Maybe they will later.
