Now, before I go into detail of what this is really about, I would like to make note that I am no admin, op, or hop. I am merely a voiced user, speaking out about a couple of things on my mind about some of the people that come into #chris.

A number of you come into the chatroom and feel that you have the right to do and say what you want. Whether it be spamming, talking in caps, and being an overall general annoyance. I enjoy most of all how some of you start posting random URLs without either a) Asking what the rules are or b) Asking an ops or hop if you could have permission to post such links. Then, once you post it and an admin/op/hop tell you otherwise, you claim that 'It's not spam,' when in the time you took to type that, you could have done one of the two previously mentioned things and saved your tail all together. But no, you choose the path with the most resistance and eventually get kicked. Then when you come back and become angry that you are kicked and start being even more annoying, then you are banned.

To be perfectly honest with you, I feel, in one way, bad for the admins/ops/hops that run this chat room because they are not paid to put up with your [censored]. I'm sure that they could be doing something better with their time. I think they should get paid, but that is not up to me. In another way, I am glad that, even on the bad days sometimes, they have the patience to put up with you. Personally, I have patience, but I don't know if I could put up with this every single day. So instead of giving the ops and hops a hard time, just do what they ask. It'll make their job easier and it’ll save you from being removed from the room.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the admins, ops, and hops for all that they do. Without you, #chris would probably be in chaos.

You can take my advice, you can leave it. However, you can't say that I didn't warn you, because I did.

Thanks for reading. </rant>

It's a fact of IRC that people will misbehave all the time. If they didn't, there would be no reason for moderators. And that isn't happening anytime soon. People think that just because there aren't any "real" consequences they can say and do whatever they want. I am of the belief that people act the same, for the most part, where ever they are. On or off line. I know I do.

So try not to let the party poopers get to you. They will always be around, it's just a matter of how many. I know it's hard to ignore it, but do the best you can.

And knowing that there is one less troublemaker in #chris is all the payment I need. Did I just say that?

I agree with some things, disagree with others...

blaster, the fact that people will misbehave all the time is a general given. However, I think we can both concur that this is a never ending cycle. I never said there were no need for ops, hops, etc...I'm just saying that us, as regular members, voiced or not, should ease it upon you.

The night that I was writing that was a bad night to begin with. However, there is a lot of truth to what I said. It may very well be a never ending cycle but as long as I can say what I feel on what I have observed, I think I can reach to people. Who specifically, I may never know. But it never hurts to try. :P
