To prevent moderation and allow unvoiced users to talk during videos, the Ops have started making the recording of videos invite only. The channel should be open after a video is finished recording.

That's correct. +i means the channel was set Invite Only.

We only set this mode temporarily. If you encounter this, please try to join again in 5 minutes.

It's extremely rare we will need to keep it invite only longer than 10-20 minutes. So just keep trying until you get in. smile

Also, if there are lots of joins in a short amount of time, like the way spammers do, the chat goes invite only for a short period of time.
