OK, what I need my be hard even for good scriptwriters. I want it to change my nick from techgeek to techgeek|AFK, and identify with NickServ. I want it to switch to techgeek|AFK when there is no keyboard or mouse use after 5 minutes. Then, I want it to change it to techgeek|Away, and identify with NickServ, after 20 minutes of no keyboard/mouse activity. When it detects the use of keyboard or mouse, I want it to change my nick back to techgeek and identify. Thanks.

Now, I'm not sure about the AutoAway stuff, as I'd have to look it up.. But, the auto ident stuff only works for stuff entered in your chat program, and I am going to assume mIRC.

But, for auto ident, as it will ident you any time nickserv notices you that the nick you are using is registered.

on *:NOTICE:*nickname is registered*:*:/ns identify <password>

As long as the nicks are grouped to his main nick that wouldn't be needed.

To group change your nick to the nick you want to group and then input: /ns group <nicktogroupto><nickserv pass>

once you group you can switch between nicks without the need to identify. so really he'll only need to find an autoaway script of some sort

I already know about the grouping and auto-identify. I was just wondering about the other stuff.

I'm pretty sure that you can find away scrips in places such as hawkee and mircscriping.org you should check them out

I was looking at the Auto Away/Notifier add-on/script for mIRC 6.0 and it seemed to have a lot of editable variables with a description of what each command and variable does. Comes with a readme and the .mrc script file. In order to really see how the script works, you can open the .mrc with notepad or word editor and read all the writers comments and explanations.
