Hello all,
I just want to get this subject out there, only because I think it needs to be brought to people's attention. The fact that some of you like to do /amsg's and such before they leave and during other periods of time is becoming a bit of a nuisance. For example, I am in 43 channels, with a similar channel lineup as many other people. Whenever someone does an /amsg, etc..., it may light up in 30-35 channels, with maybe a fraction of those being active; all the rest vacant. In addition, things like people changing their nickname constantly within a short period of time, etc. are also very annoying. So please, if those of you that are guilty of doing that stuff could try to tone it down a bit? It would make a lot of us much happier. Thanks.
As a follow up to the follow up, Phil's /clall script works wonders for clearing the 'red/blue' out of mIRC tabs. You can find it in the scripting forums.

I personally do the nick changes sometimes for fun, but only once in awhile. As for the /amsg, they get VERY annoying. People are starting to use them way, way to much.

Something to add to the /amsg part, it is especially annoying when people do a /amsg with someone's nickname on it... if you're on a lot of channels you would get an effect of either a lot of beeps, or a lot of echo notifications which are VERY annoying. I'm not going to mention any names, but... yeah you know...

yeah /amsg are annoying. They should be removed. Some IRCops say that they need it because of emergencies, but they can do a global message. It won't disturb people as much, and it goes on Every channel on WyldRyde, not just every channel that IRCops are in
