Is there a way to make /mode +G permanent on #rhett-and-link?

It seems to fall off the channel when no one is there. Snoopy will set modes but I can't find how to tell him what modes I prefer. I'm configuring a supybot and can have it do that but with such an important command it seems that the sops should be able to do configure it peristently.

Thoughts?

Yep, its actually pretty easy to do.
Its done though ChanServ's Mlock Function, which forces the mode on the channel when ever anyone is int he channel.

To set the mlock for your channel, if you are the owner, type

/cs set #rhett-and-link mlock +ntG

If you decide you want to take the Censor off of mlock, you would type

/cs set #rhett-and-link mlock +nt
and then
/mode #rhett-and-link -G

Let me know if it works, or if you have any other questions, feel free to ask here, or in #help.

You just do it last....

Example:
Code:
/msg chanserv set #channel mlock +GStTnCf [6j#i10,25m#m10,2c#C30,8n#N15,2k#K30]:5

This example also sets +G (censor), +S (strip colors), etc.

According to http://www.wyldryde.org/commands/chanserv.php

You can set the mode U to strip bold as well.

However the servers reject it
Quote:
/msg chanserv set #mychannelname mlock +UGStTnCf [6j#i10,25m#m10,2c#C30,8n#N15,2k#K30]:5

Produces...
Quote:
Unknown mode character U ignored.
-ChanServ- Mode lock on channel #the-rhettandlinkast-live changed to +fnrtCGST.

How do I strip bold? I want just plain text.

+/-U cannot be set with mlock. However, you may manually set it using:
/mode #channel +U
