Hello all,

I was told the first day I was using WyldRyde servers that I can get an CGI:IRC block added for my CGI:IRC server. I was also told a global admin or above had to do it.

So, I wondered if I should just post here for it since I really get no response on the IRC help channel (or I come at the wrong times). Nevertheless, I need the block for my CGI:IRC server, which nearly all of my site's members use to connect to the IRC. Most of them are beginners, but the CGI:IRC is their only token into the channel since they don't want to use java or flash.

Can any staff help me on this issue?

Thanks,
Jared smile

We certainly need more information before we can progress with this query.

What is the url of the cgi:IRC?
What IP address does it connect from?
What channel(s) does it join?
How many users typically use it simultaniously?

Hey Phil,

Sorry, needed to see if ya'll would allow it.

URL: http://www.chibipaws.com/livechat/?ver=ircweb (CGI based is at http://cgi-IRC.chibipaws.com:82/cgi-bin/IRC.cgi)
IP: 216.40.232.106
Channel: #chibipaws (varies between users)
Users: Normally 5-10 users connect using the CGI:IRC. More may be possible later in the year.

Thanks,

Sadly, unless there are very special circumstances, we cannot add CGI:IRC blocks. This is in the interest of the safety and security of the network.
