Keep SubWolf in your thoughts and prayers

Rob Beckett, who you probably know better as SubWolf, suffered a stroke sometime yesterday or last night.

He is currently in the hospital and awake, but is incoherent and has no feeling or movement on his left side.

His parents have been contacted and are making arrangements to fly to the US to be with him.

At the moment, we don't know which hospital he has been admitted to or anything else. As soon as we know more and can share it, we will.

Please watch this post for updates and hope for the best.

Updates:
Jul 23, 2007 09:26PM EDT (UTC-5) - Rob has been admitted to Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA.

Jul 23, 2007 09:30PM EDT (UTC-5) - Send a Get Well E-mail to Rob Beckett. Put "Rob Beckett" in the subject line and it'll be hand delivered by the hospital.

Jul 23, 2007 10:11PM EDT (UTC-5) - If you're planning on sending flowers or anything please hold off until we have a room number and have confirmed that Rob would like them. Also, if he is in the ICU they'll just end up in a waste bin as they don't allow flowers.

Jul 23, 2007 10:58PM EDT (UTC-5) - Rob's mom was able to find a flight (from the UK) in time to be there tomorrow.

Jul 23, 2007 11:48PM EDT (UTC-5) - Jay reports from the hospital, "Rob's two notches better than I heard earlier. Definitely had a stroke and confused, but he's talking about 'what are we doing this week' and a code project we're working on."

Jul 24, 2007 02:49PM EDT (UTC-5) - Jay reports that Rob didn't sleep much last night, but he's not in pain. Left side still non-responsive. Had a fresh catscan this morning, but results are not back yet.

Jul 25, 2007 12:25AM EDT (UTC-5) - Jay reports, "there is not a lot to update at this point. Rob's still about the same. The specialists that have met with him are impressed with his progress to this point... no clue if that is sincere or fluff, but I'll take the former. Rob's mom is with him at the hospital and is staying the night."

Jul 25, 2007 02:15PM EDT (UTC-5) - Jay reports Rob had a cardiogram and his heart is great and wasn't the source. Rob is not in pain and is now in the transitional department. The hospital is getting so many emails for Rob they're now printing them double sided! Keep them coming.

Jul 26, 2007 12:09AM EDT (UTC-5) - Jay reports Rob had a long physical therapy session today and is beat. Says that, in his opinion, Rob is slightly more coherent and 'there' each time he wakes up.

Jul 26, 2007 03:57PM EDT (UTC-5) - Dave reports Rob has very limited responses in his upper left arm at this point, and continues to have speech and physical therapy. He spoke with him very briefly on the phone a bit ago. He's been asking to have access some code as well.

Jul 27, 2007 08:51PM EDT (UTC-5) - Dave reports Rob will be moving to a rehab location. The new location does have a wi-fi connection so he may be able to have some limited net once there.

Aug 06, 2007 03:41PM EDT (UTC-5) - Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been swamped. Everyday Rob is getting better he's even been chatting in #blogshares and was on Ustream the other night. If you'd like to chat with him or get a chance to see his next stream, your best bet is to hang out in #blogshares.

He'll be at the main hospital until lunch time tomorrow (Friday), then they're moving him to a rehab center, same hospital just a different building a mile down the road... I don't know if he can still get emails there or not... so if you're going to send him one I would tonight or early tomorrow morning...

Rob got his package yesterday with the mp3 player. He said thank you very much to everyone for submitting their mp3s! His mom is still there with him, he sounds great, and he can sit up in bed by himself now. He gets a little better every day! Keep him in your thoughts and prayers! :)

Still thinking about you Rob, glad to see you are improving. Hope your mother (my sister) is OK - you gave us all a fright but sounds like you are getting back to your old self. Lots of Love from Helen and Christopher and Peter also.
