Internet Relay Chat The Old New Thing!

This week, at the popular Web 2.0 Expo there was a lot of talk about what people like Chris Pirillo and WyldRyde and others are doing with Internet Relay Chat. IRC has become the in thing again!

Social bookmarking and IRC (Internet relay chat) top the list of must-have tools for organizations that want to leverage Web 2.0 technologies within the enterprise, according to a Web 2.0 Expo panel moderated by Rob Rueckert of Intel Capital.

Robert Scoble, Chris Pirillo, Jeremiah Owyang and Thomas Hawk participated in a panel on The Social Media Revolution at O'Reilly's Web 2.0 Expo and also featured and talked about Internet Relay Chat. They even had Chris' chat on the big screen during the panel.
