Thailand Shuts Down Political Chats

In Thailand it is illegal to insult the country's King, Bhumibol Adulyade and they've closed down the country's largest political chats over insults and criticism of the Thai government.

In terms of content specifics, it has been reported that the offending comments in question were in reference to September 2006's coup and openly criticised its leading protagonists while also chastising the military-backed government that the country subsequently saw implemented following the coup.
