Report: China Most Botnet Infested Country


In Symantec's semi-annual Internet Security Threat Report, China is now leading the world with the most infected bot and zombie computers.

The number of zombie infections have increased by 29% to 6 million in the second half of 2006. The number of command and control servers has decreased by one-quarter. Botnet operators are believed to be consolidating their activities.

The US still leads with the most command and control servers and the most malicious activity, closely followed by China and Germany.
