Can an IRCOp help me with my problem?

The job of the IRC operators (IRCOps or OPer's) is to run the servers, and keep the network functioning, and as stable as possible. IRC Operators are not "IRC cops".

Much as some people think it should be so, doing 'modes' (handing out ops in channels) is not the reason that IRCOp's exist. The ops of a channel should be responsible to maintain their channel, and to be careful to op only the real ops in the channel.

IRC Ops will not help you get a nick back.

Please do not expect IRCOp's to help you register channels, or solve ChanServ problems. Join the #help channel for that.

If another user is being abusive or insulting or flooding, use the /ignore commands provided with your client for this purpose. You may also want to change channels or nicks if the problem is persistent.

Considering there are often over 500 people on WyldRyde at any given time, IRCOp's cannot possibly keep up with your personal problems, nor is it their role to punish people for profanity, being annoying, "unfair" kick/bans, etc.
