IRCd Transition: ShadowIRCd
Last month, WyldRyde transitioned from Anope services to Atheme services. This is part of our effort to modernize the network and add more features to WyldRyde. Originally we planned to switch from UnrealIRCd to InspIRCd. However, due to InspIRCd’s increasing amount of bugs and other issues, we decided to go with ShadowIRCd. ShadowIRCd is an extremely stable and reliable IRCd based off of charybdis, which is used on various large networks and which freenode uses a variant of. The switch will be occurring within the next two weeks.
