Emergency Staff Paging System

We understand that sometimes a chat channel might get out of control and that you might need the assistance of a WyldRyde Staffer. Be it for flood bots, a user evading bans, or if someone is otherwise violating the WyldRyde IRC Network Terms of Service. While the preferred method for requesting help will always be to /join #help and ask for assistance there, we have also added an emergency paging system.
If you should require immediate emergency assistance from a WyldRyde Staff member all you need to do is enter “!911″ (without the quotes) in the chat channel that the problem is occurring in. If a WyldRyde Staff member is available they’ll join the channel to provide assistance ASAP.
Please note that WyldRyde Staff members always have “@wyldryde.org” as their host and you can also find a listing of all WyldRyde Staff members on the WyldRyde IRC Network Home Page.
WARNING: DO NOT PRANK THE STAFF OR OTHERS!
Just as with the Police 911 telephone number it must not be used for fun and games. The !911 paging system is for emergencies only. If you cry wolf or use it unnecessarily, or trick others into using it, you may be banned from WyldRyde without warning.

    I certainly agree with monk BUT with the global notice I’d give it 48 hrs before some just HAS to try it..just to see.
    Perhaps I’ll be wrong but my experience with human nature says it will only be a short time before some mis-uses it and is (hopefully) banned (if only temp.).
    Set an example when it happens the 1st time and maybe others will see you aren’t joking and be less likely to tempt fate, as it were.
